Chess clubs continue to thrive on the Isle of Wight as 2 new library venues in Ryde and Cowes establish their presence.
Ryde Library Chess Club has now been open for a month and has proven to be a success, being well attended by players of various levels and ages. The club is open on Wednesdays from 17:00 to 19:00. As in all our library chess clubs, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Casual lessons are always available to anyone who wants to play or learn to play chess and it’s all totally free.
Cowes Library Chess Club will be following the trend by opening a chess club next week on Tuesday 7th February from 14:00 to 17:00.
