Goddards Brewery – in collaboration with Boojum&Snark – is inviting guests to an exclusive event honouring women’s empowerment and achievement. The vision of 2 life-long friends – Julie Jones-Evans and Tracy Mikich – Boojum&Snark is a cultural regeneration project on Sandown High Street, established in 2019. As well as exploring place-making through art and culture, they also opened the Island’s 1st modern craft tap room and nano-brewery, and they have helped transform the island’s cultural and beer scene. They have worked with Goddards and Head Brewer Josh Davies for the past 4 years and the collaboration range Brewed In the Bay has won silver medals across all the 3 beers. Goddards Brewery is the oldest brewery on the Isle of Wight and one of the first independent craft beer producers in the UK. Goddards have been brewing fine real ales (craft beers) since 1993. Originally at Barnsley Farm near Ryde, in 2023, the brewery moved to a bespoke built brewing centre near Arreton, complete with a brewery restaurant, The Firkin Deck restaurant and Bar as well as a state-of-the-art visitor attraction and shop.

Evening: ● 17:00: Free Brewery Tour led by Bob Simpson and Julie Jones-Evans, highlighting the role of women in brewing. ● 18:00: Inspirational Talks from island women. ● 19:00: Networking and Buffet. ● 20:30: Silent Disco by Boojum&Snark. ● 22:00: Event Concludes. There will be special free entry for women (day membership fee waived) throughout the day at Goddards as a gesture of appreciation and support for International Women’s Day. This is a terrible service and needs regulation. These failures aren’t just occaisional, they seem to happen all the time. What is more, travelers should be compensated. Shitelink will happily charge you a fortune to change your booking, yet they can drop you in it at a moments noticed with no penalty.

The technical issues are that they have cut back on maintenance. Got to pay that massive debt that have been saddled with by the vulture capital firm that purchased them. There is a compensation system, it is written in English Law and both RF and WL are obliged to follow it, should a claim be made.
