A car has crashed, rolled and ended up on its roof on a main road between Newport and Ryde tonight (Friday).
Police and paramedics are in attendance on Staplers Road, where it becomes Whiterails Road, on the outskirts of Wootton.
It was just before 21:50 that emergency services were called to the single vehicle collision outside the local tourist attraction, Monkey Haven.
A Peugeot 108 completely overturned. The reasons as to why are currently unclear.
The road is partially blocked as emergency services tend to those involved – believed to be 1 male.
The small hatchback is being recovered, with the road expected to be fully clear and reopened in both directions shortly.

Surely accident investigators can work out the speed a vehicle
was travelling to end up in such a position.
If it is down to speeding an immediate 5 YEAR BAN should be
imposed, we need to get tought with twits.

a burden on our emergency services.

Such twits should just use the bumper cars at the back of Sandown pier much safer, also one can park for free on the pavement opposite
the pier outside the old tourist information centre.
