A car has overturned on a rural road near Niton tonight (Thursday).
The incident, which has involved a Citroen C1, has occurred on Niton Road at Bierley.
The vehicle has come to rest on its roof in the middle of the carriageway, blocking the road.
Ice warning signs have been erected in the area previously indicating the risk to motorists.
A yellow weather warning for freezing fog and ice has been issued by IW Met Service and is in force until 11:00 tomorrow morning.

I was waiting for it.
Look where the sign is on the left on the verge just where you cant see it in the dark
Drivers with a brain would help, that driver should have known the road was icey..
If you cannot see that sign you should not be driving.
Its at eye level and clearly visible plus thats why cars are fitted with headlights for the dark, oh and by the way, a speedometer for you to check you are driving to the conditions.
Judging by the weather last night it was a hard frost at 6-30 last night we had freezing fog so your common sense should tell you it might be icy so drive a bit slower and to the conditions
