UPDATED: Firefighters from Ventnor and Shanklin are tackling a car fire in Upper Ventnor this evening (Saturday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to a vehicle blaze on St Margarets Road at just before 17:20.
The incident has taken place to the rear of Island Free School.
Firefighters are tackling the fire using breathing apparatus and hose reels.
UPDATE – The fire has partially spread to 2 nearby buildings.
