2 cars have collided, with 1 coming to rest in a hedge, on Long Lane near Newport this morning (Friday)
Traffic is delayed in the area near to Downend as a result of the crash.
Police are on scene with traffic being directed in both directions.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured.
UPDATE @ 09:25 – Police have closed Long Lane for traffic heading westbound from Downend towards Newport.
Southern Vectis have said:
“Owing to a vehicle accident on Long Lane, police have closed the section of road between Robin Hill and Staplers Road. Route 8 is now on diversion via Briddlesford Road, Staplers Road then as normal.”
