THE Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has been called to a collision between two cars on the Whitwell Road towards Godshill.
It is believed that one of the car has ended up on it’s roof.
The alarm was raised shortly before midday by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The road has been closed by Police while the incident is investigated and cleared.
UPDATE AT 13:00 – The fire service and two ambulances have left the scene, however the road remains closed at the junction of Beacon Alley.
The road is expected to reopen within the next 20 minutes.
UPDATED: Although initial reports suggested that one person was trapped, no one was injured in the collision.
