A car has caught fire following a serious road traffic collision in Yarmouth this morning (Sunday).
Police, fire and ambulance crews are all in attendance on Tennyson Road, where a single vehicle has been involved in a crash.
3 fire crews from Freshwater, Yarmouth and Newport are on scene but no persons are trapped.
According to fire control, an air ambulance is inbound to the incident due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
The main Newport to Yarmouth road has been closed in both directions as emergency crews deal with the incident.
UPDATE – 3 people have been injured as a result of this morning’s crash, which occurred shortly before 07:30.
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is inbound to the scene to provide specialist care for those involved.
UPDATE @ 09:10 – 1 person has been flown to Southampton General Hospital, although their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
2 other people have been conveyed by land to St Mary’s Hospital.
The road remains closed, with traffic from Yarmouth diverted up Hill Place Lane to Wellow.
UPDATE @ 09:31 – Fire and Ambulance crews have now stood down from the incident, but Police remain on scene with a hard road closure in place.
Investigations are underway to establish how the single vehicle incident occurred.
UPDATE – Passers by have been praised for pulling the occupants of the vehicle clear of dangerous.

You sarcastically say “great puctures” yet if he had posted the car on fire, the injured people you would insult him for that, one fact that I can report is that you are a clearly a keyboard warrior , because of your own low self esteem you target others to make yourself feel better.
