Westridge Golf Club has raised £831 for Breast Cancer UK after a successful Pink Charity Day brought players together for a social 9-hole competition.
Held on 25th April, the event marked the second year of the club’s open competition in aid of Breast Cancer UK’s Wear It Pink campaign.
The day was organised by 2025/26 Ladies Captain Lorraine Swallow, with a good field turning out for a 9-hole Bowmaker Stableford.
A team of past and current captains took top honours, with 2026/27 Co-Club Captain Mark Royl, 2025/26 Co-Captain Zane Cohen and 2026/27 Junior Captain Alfie Boxall combining to score 44 points.
A visiting side made up of Mark Gladstone, Dean Heaney and last-minute replacement Owen Potter finished 2nd on 43 points.
Marisa Rosato, Viv Tomlinson and Louise Webb secured 3rd place on countback with 41 points.
Away from the course, the Ladies section ran a raffle, with prizes donated by Jeremy Burch and Marc Dempsey. Zara Boxall also assisted with entry fees and ticket sales.
The total raised for the charity was £831.
The Pink Day continues to grow as a key fixture in the Westridge calendar, combining friendly competition with meaningful fundraising.
