Cowes Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (CAODS) has announced the restart of their Youth Theatre. Starting on Sunday (7th January), Trinity Youth Theatre is open to anyone aged 8-16 who would like to learn more about all aspects of theatre and get involved in 2 performances in the next 6 months. Running weekly on Sundays from 13:30 – 15:30 Trinity Youth Theatre will be free, but membership of CAODS (Cowes Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society) will be required, this is just £8 for the year for under 16s. In March there will be a small production of ‘Robyn Hood’ in the Theatre Clubroom for families and society members to watch. In May the children from Trinity Youth Theatre will get the opportunity to perform as part of ‘The Likes of Us’, written by Sir Tim Rice, Trinity Theatre’s first major musical in many years! Dinah Bowman President of CAODS said:
“It is wonderful that our Youth Theatre is restarting. We have had lots of enquiries to join, as the children do so enjoy being involved and they love all that theatre gives them. There are two exciting productions in the pipeline for our young people so we hope that many of our Island children will be joining our Youth Theatre for some fun times.”
