Wightlink have cancelled a number of timetabled sailings on their Yarmouth-Lymington route this afternoon (Sunday).
A technical issue is being blamed for the last minute cancellations.
The 13:00 and 15:00 sailings from Lymington and both the 14:05 and 16:05 sailings from Yarmouth have been pulled.
It is unclear if any further sailings will be cancelled today.
The West Wight service is to be reduced to 2-hourly from Monday in response to the latest coronavirus lockdown.

Only to be expected at this time of year from Shitelink. Staff illness is another popular excuse they use. If you need to be somewhere at a certain time then use Red Funnel. Whilst they are not perfect Shitelink are something else.
Technical problem or not enough staff or cars lame excuse as usual
Perhaps the same group who ‘service’ the floating bridge now are employed to service these craft?
Lucky they are not crossing thousands of miles of wild ocean.
What shitelink are really saying is boats are empty so we will be running 2 hr service as that’s what they got starting tomorrow
BS excuse to reduce their costs – nothing else – remember – they dont give a sh*t about you, its all about them.
It would be nice if they didn’t treat everyone as idiots by using this “technical issue” nonsense. Just tell us the truth.
what about the spare moored in Lymington?
