Wessex Cancer Support are looking for 15 adrenaline junkies to join their team taking on a 10,000ft skydive next year.
Those taking part will not only get the chance to take in the breath-taking views of the Island from above but also to raise money for a good cause at the same time.
No training is required, the IOW Skydive Team will give you all the information you need on the day, all that is needed are nerves of steel.
Alanna, from Ry’s Dog Training, who took part in 2023, has said:
“A dear client and friend of mine has been fighting cancer for the past few years and I wanted to do something for him and everyone else who is suffering or at risk. When I was 23 I was diagnosed with early signs of cancer. Thankfully they removed the problem and I do thank my stars every day. I have lost family members to cancer and I want to do everything in my power to help support.
“I see people battling cancer and they are so brave. I wanted to do something brave and out of my comfort zone for them. I would never have imagined seeing myself jump out of a plane! It was absolutely incredible. The world is so peaceful from above. It’s really eye-opening and quite humbling. I feel incredibly proud of myself and grateful.”
The 2024 skydive will take place on Wednesday 7th August 2024 at Sandown Airport between 08:00 – 16:00.
