There will be no trains operating on Island Line this weekend as the line is closed to enable maintenance work to be undertaken.
South Western Railway says that on Saturday (16th July) and Sunday (17th July), buses will replace trains between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin.
A mini-bus shuttle will run between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde Esplanade.

How can there possibly be anything to maintain yet that needs a whole weekend’s closure? – It hasn’t even been back running for a whole year yet after that extensive shutdown and refurbishment.
