A burst water main in Fishbourne is not only causing supply issues to local residents this morning (Wednesday), but is expected to cause rush hour travel disruption too.
Southern Water are currently working to repair a burst pipe at Kite Hill, between Fishbourne and Wootton.
Temporary traffic lights have been erected to allow engineers to dig down and replace the section of affected main. No estimated time of completion has been given.
Motorists should expected delays in and around the area as the works are taking place on the main Ryde to Newport Road and close to the Wightlink ferry terminal.
Southern Vectis are warning of potential delays to their Route 4 and Route 9 services.

When Ryde is overbuilt then water pressure will be increased as the pipes dont grow wider, and more burst will happen
