Police have confirmed that the body of a man in his 40s was found at a property in Cowes earlier this week.
The discovery of the male was made at a property on Mill Hill Road on Monday morning.
Later in the afternoon Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene, alongside a private ambulance, to assist in removing the man’s body from the address.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has told Island Echo:
“On the morning of Monday, 6 September officers attended an address on Mill Hill Road, Cowes.
“The body of a 43-year-old man had been discovered at the address. His next of kin is aware.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner”.
