The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard attended a boat fire in Yarmouth during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
A member of the public reported a fire on board a 33ft vessel at Yarmouth Harbour, prompting 2 appliances from Freshwater and Yarmouth to be mobilised to the quayside.
By 01:00 both appliances were on scene and tackling the fire.
The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were also sent to the incident to monitor the situation and assess any pollution risk.
Fire crews stood down at just gone 02:00.
It’s thought the fire was caused by a heater.
