A man from East Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after an incident in Ryde Town Centre last night (Saturday).
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 22:25 with reports of a fight in the street on George Street, Ryde.
On attendance, Police were informed that a man and 2 women had been assaulted.
At the scene, officers arrested a 31-year-old man from East Cowes on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He remains in custody at this time.
UPDATE ON MONDAY – The East Cowes man arrested has been released on bail until 16th December.
I worry for the future of this once safe island.
It use to be a great place to bring children up.
