All are invited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Freshwater Independent Lifeboat at their annual open day on Saturday (13th August).
The day’s activities begin at 12:15 with live music from Fat Samba, with entertainment continuing until late.
Along with the sideshows, craft stalls and local traders, you’ll find community partners on hand to provide help and information including Freshwater Fire station, Needles NCI, WightSAR and Marine Mammal.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day from the Travelling Tavern, Wightwood Pizza and Stripped Burgers, along with some tasty treats baked by volunteers.
Rod Adams, Principal Fundraiser, has said:
“None of this would have been possible without the generosity of the community and local companies and of course, our fantastic volunteers who keep everything afloat.”
Josh Macgregor, Honorary Secretary, adds:
“We hope to provide an amazing day of entertainment for all. We will also be hosting our annual tug of war competition against Freshwater Fire to see who will be crowned Freshwater’s strongest emergency service!”
