The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) has conveyed a patient to a mainland hospital from Simeon Street recreation ground in Ryde this morning (Tuesday).
The life-saving charity swooped low over Ryde before landing on the playing field at 10:06 following a request to attend to a patient from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Locals gathered at the park to witness the HIOWAA in action with a local paramedic crew transferring the unwell patient to the helicopter.
In a quick turnaround, the air ambulance took off again just 28 minutes later at 10:34.
