Hovertravel services have been suspended this morning (Saturday) as a result of adverse weather.
Gusty conditions on the Solent have forced the cross-Solent travel operator to suspend services between Ryde and Southsea until at least 12:00.
A weather warning is currently in place for wind across the Island, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Purchased tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s FastCat service.
The next service update is due at 12:00.
UPDATE @ 13:30 – Service remains cancelled.
The next update is due at 14:00.
UPDATE @ 16:30 – Services remain cancelled until at least 18:00, when Hovertravel will issue another update.
