A 7-year-old girl is looking to raise money for the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary by completing a host of litter picks this Summer. During a recent trip to the park, Skylette became upset about people dropping their litter, and so decided she wanted to do something about it. The 7-year-old loves animals and wanted to raise money for the bears, Benji and Balu, at The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary so she asked if she could do a sponsored litter pick to help raise money for them. Skylette enlisted the help of her 2 brothers, Hartley, 9 and Jobii, 3 and has committed to do at least 1 litter pick a week through the summer holidays. On Monday (5th August) – with the help of her siblings – she managed to collect 3 whole bags of rubbish from the park off Wellesley Way, Newport. They got a lot of positive comments from quite a few members of public, with 1 kind lady even giving them money to buy an ice cream from an ice cream van that turned up. Anyone wishing to donate to the cause can do so by clicking here. So far more than £200 has been raised.

Good luck young lady, a wonderful worthy cause.
