UPDATED: A £500 reward is being offered for the return of professional tools which were stolen from a property in Shalfleet last night (Sunday).

Sarah Green has turned to social media to help trace down her tools and is urging the Isle of Wight community to keep an ear open for anyone selling machinery.

The items taken include a Stihl FS460 strimmer, a Stihl KM111R kombi tool, a Stihl MS201cm chainsaw (set up for chainsaw carving), a Stihl MS150T top handle chainsaw and a Stihl BR450 CEF backpack leaf blower. An old Stihl HS45 hedgetrimmer was also stolen.

It’s thought the theft occurred sometime overnight from Sunday into Monday.

Anyone with information should contact Police on 101. Information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

UPDATE TUESDAY – Police are now appealing for information and are asking anyone who saw a vehicle acting suspiciously near to the Newtown Junction, or anyone who saw people walking across fields, to call them on 101 quoting 44190024989.

The items were taken from 2 outbuildings on Porchfield Road.
