Officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit conducted an operation to target motorists on the Isle of Wight yesterday (Thursday) with no less than 32 tickets issued.
Mainland-based officers joined their Island colleagues on Military Road, among other areas, in a bid to catch out speeders and those acting antisocially.
Motorcycle cops also engaged with the local motorbike community.
During the day of action, officers issued 32 tickets with an additional 6 informal road safety interactions carried out. Tickets were issued for 13 seatbelt offences, 2 altered exhaust offences, 1 speeding offence and 1 use of a mobile phone whilst driving offence – among other things.
wow, never mind all the lawbreakers can relax for a few months before the next one day “crackdown”, they don’t need to look far for altered exhausts just go to Ryde Esplanade most days.

Need to be in the town and near the town that’s where’s everyone is speeding always the military road hope there around on Sunday for the bike ride round the island causing chaos,bet not
Probably a very small amount of offenders on the Island, but i suppose its a start.

Catch those speeders and those driving illegally with insurance, tax, MOT and the ‘noise’ brigade with their Shi*Ty exhausts and I’m not just referring to cars, motorbikes are just as bad.
There one day outting was in the wrong place, the idiots are in towns…
