The Isle of Wight will once again play host to the annual Summer funfair this year, with things to get started in Newport this weekend. The funfair – named Children’s Funfair Family Funpark – is making its way to Seaclose Park in Newport (9th – 11th August), the Garlic Festival (17th & 18th August), Yaverland Car Park (23rd August – 1st September), before finishing at The Green in Yarmouth (6th – 15th September). On offer will be kiddies rides, inflatables and, for select days at both Seaclose and Yaverland Car Park, the Dinosaur Invasion. Attractions are token-operated with tokens available to purchase – by cash or card – from the sales booth. The fare for 1 token set at £1.20. There will be an on-site food court too, for all your post-ride snacking needs. In the past, the fun fair has visited Ryde and St Helens, but they were dropped from the line-up back in 2022 – as previously reported by Island Echo.
