2 cars and a van have been involved in a minor road traffic collision in the West Wight this morning (Thursday).
The incident has occurred on Middle Road to the west of Tapnell village on the westbound carriageway.
Island Echo understands a van has collided with the rear of another vehicle, which has in turn shunted into the vehicle in front.
No one is thought to be seriously injured and the road remains open, albeit under give and take direction.
Typical van driver, always driving up your ass, very aggressive drivers

So true. Always in a rush and always driving like maniacs, especially the courier van drivers.
That’s because couriers and van drivers are usually working and have deadlines to meet, if you don’t like any one driving up your rear you have the choice to pull over and let them past, that’s what I do sometimes. People of the island should consider the working driver perhaps? Just a thought….
Aggressive drivers should respect life, not deadlines.
Complete rubbish Fred. Businesses should adjust their deadlines to accommodate the largely 30mph roads on the Island. You are inadvertently encouraging drivers to speed when we should be trying to improve general driving standards over here.
Speed limits are for a reason which everyone should abide by including delivery drivers.
I dont put up with bully drivers, if it says 30 i do 30, whats funny is that as soon as i hit a higher speed limit i increase my speed to suit and being in the right gear when doing so the bully boy who has been trying to push me then dissapears in my rear view mirror.
There are rules on the public highway Fred. Tailgating is against the law and the perpetrator can be prosecuted. These van drivers are a rule to themselves, I understand they have deadlines and have to deliver all their vans contents by the end of the day, but not at the cost of other motorists who happen be on the roads!
Not all van drivers are dangerous, stupid comment really as you can’t tar people with the same brush, why comment negatively in the first place. Idiots!
Reply to LOL. You are right, not ALL drive in an aggressive manner, but most do. If you are a delivery driver or know someone who is, and you don’t drive like a complete ‘tool’ then ignore the comments on here. But you’ve got to remember, EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion and have experienced for themselves ‘white delivery van person’ at full throttle!!!!! And just for the record, I am not an idiot, I passed my advanced driving test, have you????
I don’t need to take an advanced driving test to prove that I can drive safely. Most drivers on the island don’t indicate, speed like complete twats thinking too much about how hectic their life is rather than concentrating on the road or have a serious issue with staying on their side of the road, those drivers are just plain bloody stupid and need to retake their test if you can’t do the basics!!
There is really no excuse for accidents on this stretch of road if due care and attention is paid to ones driving!

The Police should put some speed traps on the Middle road, instead they always concentrate on the Military road!! Maybe one day they might wake up!
Well I went along there yesterday and it was infested with cyclists doing a massive 7mph riding 2 abreast. How on earth is that legal?! Traffic was backed up because of these idiots. Get off mili and middle and use a cycle lane.
Where is the cycle lane?
I’ve yet to see a cyclists obay the rules of the road, most of them are extremely arrogant..
Probably not the van’s fault. How often do you get Isle of Wight drivers jamming on their brakes to let somebody out of a side road causing major problems to other road users. Most of these are old drivers’s over 50.
