Firefighters from Newport, Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown have responded to reports of a property fire in Bonchurch this morning (Friday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a potential fire at an address on Bonchurch Shute shortly before 07:30.
3 pumps from Ventnor, Shanklin and Sandown were mobilised to the scene alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Newport and a duty officer.
However, according to fire control, the incident has been declared a false alarm. Only 3 of the resources arrived on scene before being stood down to return to station.
