Officers from Hampshire Constabulary have made an arrest following an incident on a Newport industrial estate this morning (Friday).
Several units rushed to the scene on the junction of Daish Way and Dodnor Park just before 10:00 after threats were allegedly received by telephone.
A 28-year-old man was subsequently located and arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
The man was taken to Newport police station by officers and remains in custody.
It will be very interesting to read the outcome of this particular case because today I know of a gentleman on the island who received communications from his estranged wife where she threatened to stab him, she was ultimately arrested and released from Newport police station without any further charge unbelievable if this was a man he would have the book thrown at him….So let’s see if this gentleman in this story gets left off like the lady did that I know of today !
