A group of 10 crafters recently spent 24 hours completing a sponsored knit in aid of Wessex Cancer Trust.
The event was held at Knit Knacks Wool Shop in Lake and started on Saturday 9th April at 10:00, finishing a whole day later on Sunday morning.
Many hats and scarves were made during the sponsored event, which was held to raise money for the Daisy Bus services that transfers patients to and from the ferry terminals. It costs £58,000 per year to keep the buses running.
6 others joined the group of 10 during the day, taking the total number of knitters to 16!
Around £2,000 has been raised so far including £650 through the Just Giving page at https://justgiving.com/fundraising/knitknacksiow.

THats amazing. I’ve just read to this tonight . And my first words are A MASSIVE BIG THANKYOU . My husband and I used the daisy bus over the last year it felt a lot of peace of mind to no that the daisy bus helped us through this upsetting time during my husband treatment
