The streets of Sandown lit up last night (Wednesday) as the town’s illuminated carnival brought colour, creativity and community spirit to the seaside town for the last time in 2025.
Crowds lined the route from Fort Street to Pier Street to enjoy glowing floats, vibrant costumes and lively music, with standout appearances from Shademakers UK and local carnival groups.
The illuminated parade marks the final Sandown event of the 2025 carnival season, but Ryde will host their main procession tonight (Thursday) – moving off 18:30 – and the illuminated carnival will round off the season on the Isle of Wight on Saturday (30th August), moving off at 20:30.
