A road traffic collision involving 2 cars is causing delays on the main road to the West Wight this morning (Thursday).
The crash has seen a Toyota Rav 4 and a Citroen C1 collide. Both vehicles have sustained front-end damage with debris left all over the carriageway. It is understood that the incident occurred at around 09:30.
The Middle Road is currently blocked at the B3399 junction towards Chessell Pottery and Hulverstone.
Several resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service – including an Operational Commander – have been called to the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, for the time being.

The Middle Road another island Road that desperately
requires speed Camera’s
If I had a pound everyime a vehicle overtook at speed
I would be a Millionaire by 2026
Many Numpty’s overtake on blind spots and bends.
Speed cameras will not stop head on collisions by morons.
True, but if speed Camera’s are in place
it will stop selfish uneducated B’stards
speeding, also by doing so they should not
overtake on the wrong side of the road
because speed Camera’s will get them.
We do need a load of speed Camera’s though.
wonderful driving again..
Just the usual standard IW Numpty driving.
