St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight welcomed 2 baby boys into the world on Christmas Day this year.
Logan Thorpe, a son for Kaiser Dibbens and Daniel Thorpe of Ryde, weighed in at 7lb 3oz (3.31kgs) and was born at 01:28.
Second to arrive was Axel Sellen-Salt, a son for Abigail Sellen and Anthony Salt of Freshwater, weighing in at 7lb 4oz (3.35kgs) and born at 12:26.
Maggie Oldham, Chief Executive of Isle of Wight NHS Trust, said:
“Congratulations to both sets of parents on the arrival of their baby boys. Christmas is a very special time in the Maternity Unit and I am grateful to our staff who agreed to work across all services during the Christmas period.”
Christmas Day 2017 saw just 1 baby boy born, whilst 2016 saw no boys born at all – just girls. 2015 saw 2 baby boys born on the big day.
