A single vehicle collision on Middle Road late last night (Saturday) saw a 19-year-old man taken to St Mary’s Hospital with a serious arm injury.
Police were called to the main road between Newport and Freshwater at around 23:20 following reports of a single-vehicle collision.
At the scene a trio of 19-year-old men were treated, with one of them taken to St Mary’s with a serious arm injury.
Two other men – of the same age – suffered only minor injuries.
Middle Road was closed between Elm Lane and Betty Haunt Lane for a while but reopened in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
