The opportunity to run your very own village pub has arrived as The Crown Inn at Shorwell goes on the market.
The late 18th-century property, which is currently part of the Character Inns group, offers 80 internal covers and 100 external covers in the side garden, with 2 onsite car parks.
The Crown Inn occupies a prime position in the picturesque village just 5 miles from Newport.
Mike Benwell, current landlord of the Crown Inn said:
“The Crown Inn has always had a place in our hearts. When we were growing up we always visited the Crown Inn with our parents, grandparents and great grandparents and have such great memories.
“We decided to purchase the pub and in our first couple of years of ownership the pub was good to us. Unfortunately with COVID, we have had to concentrate on our core pub portfolio so it’s now time for someone else to take the pub on. The Crown Inn is a perfect business for any aspiring owner managers or is big enough to work as a managed house”.
Leisure property specialists Fleurets have been instructed to market the leasehold. For further information, or to arrange a viewing, contact Nick on [email protected] or 07836 541790.

Can’t believe how any pub’s can survive ….
Sad but true ….
Good luck with sale …
I fear a planning permission to change to housing coming on ?!!!
Not really true… It’s hard for pubs to survive in this climate, many will fail. But there are examples that are thriving. Some are just behind the times.
