hampshireconstabularycrestPolice are investigating the theft of tools worth some £16,000 from a building site in Bembridge this week.

Thieves entered the McCarthy and Stone site at the former Staddlestones Garage in Church Road overnight sometime between 17:30 on Monday and 07:30 on Tuesday morning. They broke into a secure unit and stole around £16,000 of tools belong to contractors working on the site.

It’s believed a large vehicle would have been required to transport the tools away and that it’s likely that more than one person was involved.
