The generosity of local young fundraiser Macie Edkins-Wherry brought smiles to the residents of Solent Grange Nursing Home near Wootton this Easter.
Macie is no stranger to being featured on Island Echo having completed a number of fundraising challenges in recent years. In the past 2 years alone she has fundraised for 11 different good causes.
The latest act of kindness from the Carisbrooke College student was to donate bundles of Easter eggs to residents at Solent Grange.
Enough eggs were donated for every single resident.
Alison Gray, Home Manager, has said:
“Thank you Macie, your generosity is truly amazing and we’re very grateful to have received your donations. To give your own personal money to fund these gifts is inspirational”.
