10-year-old Summer Kingston from East Cowes is to have her hair shaved next month in aid of The Little Princess Trust.
Summer, who goes to Summerfields Primary School in Newport, is to have her hair cut off in front of the whole school on 3rd July 2023.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
It is hoped that around £1,000 can be raised but already with some 3 weeks until the big shave Summer has already raised over £775.
Once Summer’s hair has been cut it will be sent via post to The Little Princess Trust HQ in Hereford.
Summer’s mum Kirsty has said:
“We are so proud of Summer and what she’s doing, it’s amazing.
“I want to thank everyone who has donated to help such a brilliant charity and cause and the support that we have received so far”

What a fantastic young lady .
Family and friends must be so proud of you.
Two points:
Ha ha. My hair is actually long, black, and curly. Not sure there would be much demand for it. In fact, I might get myself one of these long blonde wigs. I would look a million dollars.
Sure it is. We all believe you.
Wow, what an amazing young lady, your parents must be incredibly proud.
Summer, you are doing something Fantastic! Well done, I hope you blow your target out of the water!
Why denigrate a 10 year old kid for doing something nice?
Please help Summer reach her target by donating to such a wonderful charity supporting young people in the worst of times, thank you!!
