Just 1 bundle of joy was welcomed into the world at St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight on Christmas Day this year – a baby boy called Solomon. The 1st and only baby to arrive on the labour ward at 00:30 was Solomon, a boy for Tyne Samuel and dad Mcharo Ngonja from Shanklin, who weighed in at 7Ib 8oz. A spokesperson for the hospital has said:
“The team at St. Mary’s is proud to have supported welcoming Solomon into the world, and wishes him and Solomon’s parents all the very best for the future”.
It means that in the past 13 years, since 2010, a total of 23 boys and 21 girls have been born on Christmas Day – 25th December.
