YOU CAN’T PARK THERE! CAR PLOUGHS THROUGH CAR PARK WALL IN SHANKLIN

A car has ploughed through a wall and has landed on top of another vehicle in Shanklin this morning (Tuesday).

The owner of a blue Mazda CX-5 is counting the costs of the mistake, which happened sometime before 09:30.

Rather bizarrely, the crossover has gone straight through a raised car park wall and has launched onto the roof of a parked Mazda 2.

Amazingly, no one has been injured in the incident which has occurred on Culver Road, off Arthur’s Hill.

No emergency services are present and it is thought that private recovery of both vehicles is being arranged.

Couldn’ t make it up…wonder if this is another “car fault” rather then driver error..maybe another “key worker” too.

It’s a good way to save on parking charges. Park directly on a smaller car.

it’s a modern automatic,.. you can’t start it unless it’s in ‘park’
the only way to get there is to start it, put it in ‘drive’ & press the accelerator,… hard! 🙁

oh dear,.. another old (confused) person driving an automatic..

How to drive:-
start car
put in gear, press pedal to make go.
Oh!, going forwards, not backwards,.. help,.panic.. quick press (brake) pedal,..
not stopping (wrong pedal),.. press harder…
Oh dear,.. why is my car here,.. on top of this other car ?
must be something wrong with it,… couldn’t possibly be my fault

The blue car seems to have suffered less damage than the wall.

FFS…oh well I suppose on a positive note it lucky for the driver that the little brown car was there or the driver could have been seriously hurt.

It is such a shame that shite driving is not an Olympic event. Island motorists would hoover up all the medals.

It really goes to show the mentality of most people who comment or rate comments on islandecho,.. that the highest positive rating for a comment on this story, goes to… someone who criticised someone else’s spelling of the word pedal.
