Yarmouth’s annual Guy Fawkes Night celebrations have been cancelled for 2020, it has been announced.
Yarmouth Carnival Committee announced the unfortunate, but not surprising, news earlier on today (Thursday).
The evening normally sees a Guy competition in the square, followed by a torchlight parade and the big fireworks finale.
Similar announcements from other towns are expected in due course.
Good my Aunts dog hates fireworks, and messes on the floor. Out dated form of entertainment. Ban such for good now.
Our cat does the same with fear. Behind the sofa, as too frightened to use the dirt box when fireworks are going off day and night.
Ban them for good.

When I see a cat or dog get given a free home, cash for ever litter it has, and then watch it’s brood grow up on state aid, yet still hate, and mutilate the hand that feeds its primitive ‘mind’ then, and only then I may agree with you.
