AA woman who is suspected to have been murdered after being taken ill at her home in Yarmouth has been named by Police as 70-year-old Pia Massey.
As first reported by Island Echo, Police were called to the High Street, Yarmouth on 22nd September, following concerns raised for the welfare of a woman who fell seriously ill at an address.
Pia Massey – also known as Pia Taylor – was taken to hospital where she subsequently died.
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Pia’s death, which is now being treated as murder.
As part of Hampshire Constabulary’s investigation, officers arrested a man on suspicion of murder on Monday. He has since been bailed until 8th November, pending further enquiries.
