The case against a woman who was allegedly dealing drugs from her Shanklin home has been sent to the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
Rachel Varley, 44, of Kensington Avenue in Oldham – but previously of Alresford Road in Shanklin – appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Tuesday) charged with 3x possession with an intent to supply a controlled drug and 2x possession of a controlled drug.
Prosecuting, Liz Miller, told the court that on 6th September 2021, Police officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary carried out a warrant at Varley’s address. At the address officers seized 84.9g of Cocaine, 3.1g of Crack Cocaine and 327g of Amphetamine. Various other items were seized.
Then, some 6 months later on 7th March 2022, officers attended the flat again, this time finding 2g of Cocaine and 13g of Amphetamine. Other items were seized on this occasion also.
Island Echo previously reported on both the raids of Varley’s former home.
The case has been adjourned for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 25th September at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
Varley was granted unconditional bail until this time.

Needs to live in the gutter.
Skank. At least it’s no longer on the island. I doubt she’s the only one involved.
Plenty more dirty rat bags to still get rid off
Oldham town centre is not a pleasant place to live. It’s one of the most deprived areas of the UK, with the majority non-English, bringing with them their culture of leaving shit everywhere, houses of multiple occupancy, all run-down.
From visiting there many times for work, I was shocked at how many people fail to have a bath or shower in today’s modern world. Body odour covered up by Linx Africa. Many living there also fail to use a toothbrush.
Don’t like drugs, don’t take em.
Don’t spoil the fun for the rest of us
Most of the Island smells of drugs. I am certain people are Vaping the stuff.
