WIGHTLINK WARRIORS’ SPEEDWAY MEETINGS GO ONLINE

Published at:

With live sporting action on hold for the time being, the Wightlink Warriors speedway team are giving Island sports fans the chance to enjoy past meetings at Smallbrook Stadium for free online.

Promoters of speedway on the Isle of Wight are now regularly uploading matches to the club’s website, www.warriors-speedway.com.

The latest video to go online is a look back to last July when the Warriors staged the NICE Challenge – a unique and exciting individual meeting where the Polish sponsors loaned all the riders identical engines for the night. Riders from all 3 divisions of British Speedway and abroad took part in an experiment to test the effect of levelling the mechanical playing field and an intriguing spectacle followed.

The Warriors’ website broadcast was preceded by a live question & answer session with co-promoter Barry Bishop on the club’s Facebook Group.

Keep an eye out for future broadcasts at www.warriors-speedway.com.
