After 2 recent disappointments caused by bad weather, the Wightlink Warriors will be hoping it’s 3rd time lucky as they have just announced Thursday (14th October) as the restaging date for the final round of their Island Masters speedway series.

Confirming the new date, the Warriors’ co-owner Barry Bishop said:

“With the outcome of the Island Masters series so finely balanced, we have been working overtime to fit in the crucial climax.

“At this time of year, it’s always a little complicated bringing various aspects together as we consider rider availability, medical cover and ferry crossings amongst a host of other components needed for delivering a smooth race day experience for everyone involved, however with superb co-operation all round, things have come together nicely.

“Add in a decent long-range weather forecast and the prospect of some outstanding on-track action from all the returning big hitters, it’ll be all systems go for the 14th. Our usual, more detailed pre-meeting press release will be issued next week.”
