The ever-popular Westover Farm Pumpkin Patch is returning for its third year this October, offering Islanders the chance to enjoy a fun-filled autumn day out in the heart of the West Wight countryside.
Open every weekend throughout October, as well as across the half-term break, the 10-acre pick-your-own patch will once again feature over 20 varieties of pumpkins, squashes and gourds in all shapes, sizes and colours.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Westover Farm, visitors can grab a wheelbarrow and explore the sprawling field in search of the perfect pumpkin. The patch is also home to resident scarecrows and photo-friendly setups for seasonal snaps.
New for 2025 are dedicated Friday sessions. On Friday mornings (10:00-12:00), Pumpkin Patch Playtime for Little Pumpkins offers autumn crafts, a play area, hot chocolate, stories and more for younger children (advanced booking required via social media).
Friday afternoons 10th and 17th October will also be open from 12:00-16:00 with a quieter atmosphere, ideal for home-schoolers, toddlers or those who prefer to avoid the crowds.
Entry to the patch is free and no booking is required for general visits. Facilities on site include parking, toilets, refreshments, seating areas and card payment options.
