Wightlink is advising of disruption on its Yarmouth-Lymington car ferry service and its Ryde-Portsmouth Fastcat service today (Saturday) – with delays of up to 90 minutes.
A hydraulic issue on board one of the Wight-class ferries has led to significant delays of an hour-and-a-half on the operator’s West Wight route.
A separate mechanical issue on one of the Wight Ryders, operating the Ryde Pier Head-Portsmouth Harbour route, has led to cancellations on the Fastcat service.
Wightlink says it’s working hard to reduce delays, and apologises for the disruption.

With the obscene price of ferry travel , and abysmal service , its a wonder why anyone wants to come to the Island .
Not to mention 50p to use toilets and a £2 nightly
parking charge along esplanade’s.
But it is acceptable to park free of charge on pavements,
especially in Sandown.
The island is sadly run by useless numpties.
“No wonder it’s the Isle of joke”
Not happy with their own problems they bought Yarmouth roads to a stop with seemingly no plan of what to do with their customers while they were waiting.
It appears they were only running an hourly, two ship service on Lymington-Yarmouth, so why didn’t they just use the third ship as an immediate replacement?
