Police are attending a road traffic collision between Wroxall and Ventnor this evening (Friday), just hours after the main road re-opened to traffic.
A purple Volkswagen Polo GTI has been involved in the single vehicle collision on the B3327 Newport Road, around half way between the village of Wroxall and Upper Ventnor.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the crash.
Police are in attendance but the road remains open in both directions. Southern Vectis buses are running to timetable.
The crash occurred shortly before 21:40.
UPDATE – The driver claims that he swerved to avoid a fox in the road.
