A new record has been set in Portsmouth Harbour as Virgin Voyages’ ‘Scarlet Lady’ becomes the largest ever cruise ship to dock in the International Port.
The striking 227-metre long vessel, which weighs in at a massive 110,000 tonnes, passed through the Solent yesterday morning (Monday).
The brand new ship is the first of several to be brought into operation by Sir Richard Branson’s new cruise line and is set to debut much later than planned following the international halt on cruise travel caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

3,000 passengers will set sail on each of the 6 planned Summer Soiree Series cruises around the UK – all of which are set to depart from Portsmouth.
Isle of Wight photographer, Ben Rue, captured some stunning images of the vessel arriving in the harbour.

Sorry, you can keep it.! Prefer P&O ships, nothing attractive about it.
Don’t say sorry, the thing looks like a massive inner city council estate, I mean,, it doesn’t even look like a ship (even a container or cargo one), no class what so ever, just s massive tower block ! Shame, stick to your planes and balloons X
