The annual Charity Vintage Tractor Run will return to the roads of the Isle of Wight later this month in support of the Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Dozens of vintage tractors will take part in the event, which is being organised by the Vectis Vintage Tractor & Engine Club and will be held on Sunday 25th May 2025.
The day begins at Goddards Brewery, Branstone, where the tractors will be parked from 09:30 until 10:30 before setting off on a scenic route around the Island.
Residents and visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of the convoy – and see the tractors parked at several locations along the way:
- Godshill – Main Road (approx. 10:50)
- Carisbrooke – High Street (approx. 11:50)
- St Thomas’s Square, Newport (parked from 12:00 to 13:00)
- Calbourne – Lynch Lane (approx. 13:30)
- Compton Beach Car Park, Military Road (parked from 14:00 to 14:20)
- Compton Farm (approx. 14:25)
- Calbourne Water Mill (parked from 15:00 to 16:00)
The event not only offers a nostalgic look at farming heritage but also raises vital funds for WPCSG (Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group), which supports Island men affected by prostate cancer.
Anyone wishing to support the cause is encouraged to line the route, wave the tractors on, and donate where possible.
My kind of driving.
Sensible speeds, not the usual Numpty’s
driving over the National speed limit.
