Wightlink Cycle Racing Team team member, Jerry Cooper, travelled to Hampshire to compete in the ‘Pain on Portsdown’ last weekend (16th February).
The event – a 16 mile TT around the classic ‘Perfs Pedal Race’ – saw Jerry compete in the Vet 60-65 category.
Jerry says:
“It was a tough race in freezing conditions, but it was good to get this first event under my belt. It’s been a bit of a slog to get back to fitness after my recent health setbacks over the past couple of years, but I’m looking forward to getting in a full season of racing in 2025. Thanks go out to VC St Raphael for organising a great event and to our team sponsors, especially Wightlink and Wight Mountain”.
