UPDATED: Two vehicles have been involved in a road traffic collision at Blackwater on the outskirts of Newport this morning (Friday), which is leading to traffic delays in the area.
Police and paramedics are responding to the scene outside Moles Country Stores between Arreton and Newport.
A white Fiat is understood to have collided into the side of a Land Rover 4×4. The incident occurred at just after 10:30.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with traffic building in both directions.
UPDATE: The scene has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal flow
